So here is the last poster of the season, and tonight is -almost- the last party.
Walfare Pop Reedit
So, today is the 25th of April, and in Italy we celebrate the end of nazi-fascist occupation and also the end of second world war. It’s an important day for our Republic, and Garrincha Dischi decided to launch in this occasion the reedition of Walfare Pop, the first album by Lo Stato Sociale, originally released in 2009.
The artwork is still the one I did in 2009, but with a new graphic design curated by Marcello Petruzzi for Garrincha Dischi.
The album contains two bonus track, and you can listen to it here and preorder it here.
Just to let you know, today, if you’re in Bologna, you’re supposed to barbeque everything you find in your fridge and eat it outside with your friends while some hippie/Spanish dressed guy you found on your way plays the guitar. I’m not that into that stuff : )

Buondì, oggi, 25 Aprile, Festa della Liberazione, Garrincha Dischi lancia la reedizione di Walfare Pop, de Lo Stato Sociale, originariamente uscito nel 2009.
L’artwork è sempre quello che ho fatto io 3 anni fa, ma con una nuova veste grafica curata da Marcello Petruzzi per Garrincha Dischi. Che ci piace.

The poster theme obviously refers to Rebolledo, I was a bit stuck with the Mexican atmosphere, because, I mean, I look at Polish stamps from the ’70s to get inspiered…but then I realized I finally had the chance to draw a pinata! It’s been fun!
SARAH+RUGGE
Fruit is over, Bologna Children Book Fair also, everything is done, and here is a little thing I did with Rugge. On Friday we decided to do a “fast” fanzine during the self-publishing exhibition, we started at 11.30 and finished it around 6 pm, then we photocopied in b/w our two big drawings in one of the fanciest internet point in Bologna, folded and numbered quickly, and the zine was done!
It’s called Plenty Ville (you can see the cover and the back in the first panel, at the botton right) It’s a very limited serie of 26 copies – b/w – for the very special price of 2 euros (but actually most of them were given as a present), and every drawing is done by me and Rugge together + a little help from Sandro, a cool child who quitted playing to watch us drawing.
Soon I’ll post some pictures of the folded result.

Fruit è andato, e anche la Fiera del Libro. E questa è una cosuccia fatta da me e Rugge durante il festival delle auto-produzioni. Venerdì abbiamo deciso di fare una fanzine veloce in giornata, abbiamo cominciato a disegnare le 2 tavole A3 che la campongono alle 11.30 (sul retro di uno dei poster di Fruit fra l’altro), e abbiamo finito nelle 18, siamo andati a fare le fotocopie in bianco e nero in un internet point, abbiamo piegato e numerato, e per le 18.30 la fanza era pronta.
Si chiama Plenty Ville (nel primo disegno in basso a destra poterte vedere copertina e retro), è una serie limititatissima di 26 copie in bianco e nero e costa solo 2 euri (anche se la maggior parte delle copie è andata regalata), e ovviamente è fatta tutta a 4 mani da me e Rugge + un aiutino da Sandro, un bambino che stava giocando nella corte di Vicolo Bolognetti e che si è fermato a guardarci.

Camuffati opening tonight!
“Camuffati” means “disguise yourself!” in Italian, the concept of the exhibition is a ludic and massive production of A4 drawings done by me and Giulia in which things and people are disguised as something else. There will be more or less 60 original drawings – no prints – and the audience will have the chance to buy them for a modic amount of money, and take them home immediately. This is also to narrow the distance between the people and the works they’re looking at.
I Workshop e le Fanze
Negli ultimi due mesi ho tenuto un workshop di serigrafia rivolto ai terzi anni del corso di Illustrazione dello IED di Milano insieme ad Andrea Baldelli di Corpoc. L’obbiettivo del corso era sia avvicinare i ragazzi a una tecnica di stampa artigianale molto usata in una certa nicchia del mercato delle arti visive, sia farli lavorare su un progetto collettivo, ovvero una fanzine di classe a tema Freak Show. Ognuno ha quindi lavorato su un’immagine da inserire nel volumetto, e questo è il risultato:
